Notice of CUHC Reconvened AGM & April Update

Pirates PresidentJuniors, News, Seniors

Pirates,

Happy Easter! I hope you are all taking the opportunity to unwind over the long weekend with family and friends. Not long now until the season kicks off for all of our teams

Reconvened AGM
The 2020 Annual General Meeting that was adjourned in November is to be reconvened on Saturday April 17th at 12.00pm to present the financial P & L and Balance Sheet.   Agenda, with further details, can be found here: https://cdn.revolutionise.com.au/cups/curtinunihockey/files/rdb5egysqyvy7dbv.pdf

As with all General Meetings, we require 20 people in attendance to constitute a quorum so we will be putting on a BBQ at the Edinburgh Clubrooms afterwards to encourage attendance. For those not playing later in the afternoon this provides a great opportunity to grab a bite to eat and watch the Over 60’s in their 2:00PM fixture on Edinburgh Oval South.

Registrations
Registrations remain open. If you are still yet to register, please do so ASAP at : https://cuhc.org.au/registrations/.

If you are currently training you will need to be registered to ensure you are covered by the Hockey WA insurance policy, and registration is mandatory prior to stepping on the field for all Hockey WA competitions.

Fundraising
Our next Bunnings sausage sizzle is on the 25th of April, please add your name here if you are able to help out.

Fixtures
Preliminary fixtures for the first 6 weeks of the Senior Season were released by Hockey WA on Thursday 1st of April. These will be communicated to you via the relevant Coordinators and Team Managers. Most sides commence the weekend of the 10th of April, with the Premier League Women and Premier League 3 Men commencing the following week.

Our Premier League Men are two games into their season, picking up a hard-fought draw against Whitford in Round 1 and going down in a competitive encounter against Vic Park in round 2. It has been great to see a healthy Pirates crowd in attendance at both games cheering on the lads.

Uniform
Our uniform is available exclusively through Republic of Hockey – Shop 2/94 Burswood road, Burswood. We understand a shipment of our new training attire and top up of all uniform sizes is due in any day now, so head down and see the team at Republic of Hockey to prepare for Round 1.

Keep up to Date
As always, keep an eye on our socials or on your email from the relevant Coordinators for the latest happenings:
