The Curtin Women’s Top Squad travelled to Bunbury for two quality hit-outs against our generous hosts. Boyanup showed why they’re a southwest powerhouse in game one with plenty of end-to-end hockey and some polished finishing already on display in March. Game two saw Curtin’s second side face Exies, who worked tirelessly to counter the speed of our young flyers.
Both games were played in great spirit, with Exies putting on a fantastic post-game lunch for everyone to enjoy. A special mention to the 7 players who pulled on Curtin colours for the first time, proudly showing the culture and style building within the program.

The Curtin Men's Top Squad traded the turf for the hills this weekend, heading up to Kalamunda for a fitness-focused session and a couple of team building activities. We're still working out exactly how pouring water into buckets translates to hockey, but we trust the process 🤔

A huge thanks to the Pavlinovich family for putting on a BBQ 🌭 and opening up the pool — both very well earned after all those hill runs 🏊‍♂️

The Curtin Women’s Top Squad hit the road to take on Warriors Women’s Hockey Club (UGSHA) — and the quality on show for February was outstanding. Sharp skills, genuine competitiveness, and a strong team-first mentality from the first whistle.
The match finished with a fun shootout, but the real highlight came after the game with first-class hospitality and camaraderie from our country cousins.

A huge thank you to Warriors Women’s Hockey Club of UGSHA for hosting and providing a great contest. Well done to the CUHC Pirates women on a promising first hit-out.

Vale Michael Nobbs

Curtin University Hockey Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Michael after his courageous health battle over the last 5 years.

Michael was a legend of the game representing Australia, playing state and local hockey and has given so much of his time over decades to the sport he loved across the nation & overseas.

He was an astute, smart & honest coach and mentor for other coaches at our club and always had time to teach, support and guide. He coached our successful Curtin Trinity Pirates Premier League Women’s team in the late 90s and in the mid 2000s minkey and juniors. He had the admiration & respect of our club and the entire hockey community.

The Pirates family extend our heartfelt sympathy to Lee Capes (Life Member), Kaitlin and Jamie at this sad time.
